Barras Bravas… the first time the term was used was in the 60’s by a Argentinian newspaper, La Razón, to name the group of people that in an organized way go to a football match. Normally, the words Barras Bravas are followed by words like violence, mafia, hooligans.. But who are the Barra Brava ? The Barra Bravas, are organized groups of persons that goes to the stadium to support the team, this groups are characterized by the violence of their actions. This will be a regular definition of been a hooligan, but in Argentina it´s different, been part of a “ Barra Brava” it’s a life style, it’s like a work, but at the same time is much more than a work, the Barras Bravas became your life, your cry for your team, you fight for your team, you die for your team.
