R2B: São Paulo Provides Street Artists New Canvases
Urban Landscapes inspire art by local Brasilian artists. Taking inspiration from and giving it back to the urban landscape in São Paulo, Brasil. In a time where most of us are too much in a rush to travel from point A to point B without looking up long enough to recede our gaze from our mobile devices, it’s refreshing to see a city, the size of many urban U.S. cities, think of creative ways to allow its landscape to be utilized.

The project is called Color+City. It connects businesses that have brick and mortar locations with talented street artists throughout Brasil. Bland walls are transformed from monotonous monotone colors into brilliant hues of paint that expresses a story that was birthed from the minds, fingers and spray cans of local artists. The result is visual experiences that allow the passerby time, even if just for a moment, to pause and escape
