Ar6rOVVCEAEJrHm.jpg-largeWe are in a time where information is abundant and accessible. We are not limited to an either/or existence. Not only do we have more, but we are expected to do more. Be more. Embrace more. This access to information is what makes this time in history special. The responsibility of these privileges have been exponentially exacerbated. Those that are brave enough to step up and accept the responsibility of having the information and then act in accordance will be the champions of our time.

These are the true champions. Not your mere Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, LeBron James, Lance Armstrong, Tiger Woods, or Kobe Bryant. Not your Messi, Ronaldo, or Beckham either. The kind that surpasses the exemplary excellence in their sport and goes beyond the influence of their sports brand. I am talking about Muhammad Ali greatness. Athletes such as Jackie Robinson, Pele, Manny Pacquiao and Magic Johnson have tried to make progress in showing that they are not just fine tuned bodies by taking on roles that serve their greater communities.

In a year we will be 110% emerged in the glamour, prestige and beauty of the world’s greatest sports event, the WORLD CUP. But the people have spoken up and taken to the streets throughout Brazil to express their disapproval of how the event has been ineffective in developing their country and is instead depleting resources that the community could use.
