Julian Green chooses to play for the USMNT instead of German…. Now would you have done that?

The United States men’s national team’s German manager has convinced a young German-American striker that his future should be in the red, white and blue … and American soccer fans are celebrating.

In what can only be considered a coup for United States soccer, 18-year-old Bayern Munich forward Julian Green has decided to play his international soccer for the U.S. team. Green’s father, a former member of the military, is American and currently resides in Tampa. Green’s mother is German, and he holds dual-citizenship.
